"I believe that you take a stand and fight back, not as a vigilante, but through the system."

John Walsh,
America's Most Wanted "On-line"

"The world is a dangerous place to live, not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."

Albert Einstein

  Crime Victims Memorial Wall
Crime Victims Memorial Wall
Crime Victims United of California unveiled its "Crime Victims Memorial Wall" in 1998, as a remembrance to the 325 victims of the 184 affirmed convicted killers currently on California's Death Row.

The portable, five-panel wall stands five feet tall, and measures 10 feet in length. The memorial is constructed of beautiful faux green marble and displays the crime victim's names in elegant gold lettering. As a living memorial, it has space for more victims' names to be added, as more of the 356 additional inmates on Death Row finally are affirmed for execution.

CVUC made the Memorial Wall available for victims' rights and public safety functions across the state, for press conferences with candidates for federal and state office that had been endorsed by Crime Victims United. The Memorial Wall will be proudly displayed at the office of Crime Victims United of California in Sacramento, California.

The Crime Victims Memorial Wall was a gift to CVUC through the generous donation of California Correctional Peace Officer Association and the California Union of Safety Employees.
