March 2007
Dear Friends,
As a long time supporter of crime victims and public safety, you are cordially invited to the 17th Annual Classic Cup Golf Tournament, on Monday, October 15, 2007, at the
exclusive Granite Bay Country Club in Granite Bay, California.
Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation (CVUCF) is a non-profit organization whose sole focus is to improve our communities by making them a safer place to live through education materials and information.
Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation provides assistance and support to individual victims and their surviving families of criminal acts. Currently in California there does not exist any support for a victim's family who has a change of venue trial and has to travel outside of their home area to attend a trial. The financial burden rests entirely on the victim's family. Portions of the funds raised from the tournament are made available to victims in this situation. In the past, your generous support has helped victims such as Ron and Sharon Rocha, the parents of Laci Peterson
and Pat & Debbie Boyd the parents of Christie Wilson..
Through your support we have been able to institute and fund the "Teddy Bear Project", and the "Literacy Project." Each one of these programs is geared directly towards children. The Teddy Bear Project is a program dedicated to assisting in the adoption of at risk youths. The Literacy Project provides reading and educational materials to under privileged children in California.
There are three ways in which you can be part of supporting these programs and the people they benefit. Please refer to the enclosed brochure for further details.
- Make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION directly to Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation and mail your check to 11400 Atwood Rd. Auburn CA 95603.
- Be a SPONSOR of the golf tournament
- PARTICIPATE directly in the golf tournament.
If you would like to reserve a foursome for this event or need additional information regarding the golf tournament or programs, please feel free to contact Nina Salarno-Ashford or Robyn White at 530-885-9584..
If you are not a golfer, please share this invitation with your co-workers or friends who are.
As always, we appreciate your continued support of public safety and victim's rights.
Sincerely,
Harriet Salarno, Chair
Crime Victims United Charitable Foundation
